Google is apparently hosting an event today in Mountain View, Michael Gartenberg has tweeted about this and you can clearly see this here.

Obviously, Google will be revealing some new product or it could be all about the Twitter-style status update system for Gmail, this new service will provide real-time feeds of information from contacts. then again could it be some brand new software in the form of Android 2.1.
